Alvin Cowan is a seasoned actor, writer, and producer who starred in the film American Sniper, and TV shows, This Is Us, Better Call Saul, and Westworld, and has worked with legends like Clint Eastwood, James Caan, Bradley Cooper and Bruce Willis. 

As a writer, he’s busy developing numerous projects with producers like Kennedy Marshall, Roth Kirschenbaum, and Walden Media. Alvin’s brand is sports, Americana, and grumpy young men. He is currently pitching an original comedy feature based upon his experience at the Bush Ranch as well as writing the feature adaptation for coming-of-age drama Raft of Stars, which he plans to direct.

Alvin has also moved into the podcast space, writing and producing the #1 rated documentary podcast, “American Coyote: The Legend of Elden Kidd.” He is currently in production or development on additional audio projects with Skybound, Campside Media, The Athletic, Dear Media, and AudioUp. 

Alvin has a passion for sports, and was a record-setting quarterback at Yale, where he was inducted onto the All-Era Team. He then had short camp stints in professional football with both the NFL and AFL. He now only competes with the fish in the rivers around his home, mostly losing. 

A lover of the outdoors, he splits his time between Los Angeles and Bend, Oregon with his wife, Laura, kids, and their dog, Hank.
